Agastya Media Fellowship

Communication for a better world

The Agastya Media Fellowship aims to build a cohort of inspired media professionals who can transform the communications landscape of the development sector. 

  • Media and communication students and professionals who want to use their skills to bring about a change in the education sector.

  • Individuals with a keen interest in the development sector

  • Digital Marketing professionals 

  • Illustrators/Designers

  • Academicians with an inclination towards media education

  • Audio-visual communications students and professionals

Who are we looking for?

12-month-long program

1-month orientation

11-month-long project

Rs.25,000 stipend every month 

Why should you apply?

  • Creative collaborations through interactions with peers, resource persons, beneficiaries and stakeholders.

  • Fellows will become change makers by harnessing the power of media 

  • You will contribute to the Agastya movement and increase Agastya’s visibility and reach.

  • Fellows will form connections with corporate supporters and other social sector organizations.

  • They will be a part of regular workshops conducted by media and communication experts and academicians.

  • Outstanding performers shall be absorbed into Agastya as regular employees at the end of the fellowship period.

  • A statement of purpose - on why you want to be an Agastya Media Fellow

  • CV

  • Portfolio/Work Samples

- Candidates are also required to fill out a questionnaire in the link below. 

Important dates

7 November 2022:  Start of applications

5 December 2022:  End of applications

12-23 December 2022: Interviews for shortlisted candidates

26-30 December 2022:  Assignment 

6 January 2023:  Announcement of results

1st February 2023:  Start of Fellowship

 

Who can apply?

Candidates should be willing to work full-time with Agastya

Bachelor's or Master's degree holders in

  • Fine arts and visual arts 

  • Media and communication 

  • Digital Marketing 

  • Education (with an interest in media)

  • Design

  • Filmmaking or/and photography

DBA and LGBTQIA+ candidates are encouraged to apply

Diploma holders with experience in the above fields
