Our Headquarters: While the practical necessities of running an organization and operating programs require physical locality and reachability, at its heart Agastya is where children are. We find children in remote rural areas and in city slums. We meet children at their level of understanding, and make science and math accessible to them with our methods. READ MORE.

 

MobileLab Reach: Whether crisscrossing rural India in one of Agastya’s Mobile Labs, or winding through city streets aboard a Lab-on-a-Bike, no terrain is too arduous, and no location too remote for Agastya to meet the challenge of getting science lessons to children. ScienceCenter Sites: Just as ants do their work and return to their mound when the work is done, so Agastya’s Mobile Labs need a place, too. The ScienceCenters are hubs where models and lessons are stored and organized, where teachers are trained, and where visitors may experiment with models. READ MORE.

 

CreativityLab Locations: Agastya is constantly innovating methods for teaching science and for getting lessons to children. This is no small feat in a country as vast and varied as India. Our CreativityLabs are crucial to the process. Methods are tried on the children who visit campus, and perfected before being rolled out to the masses in mobile units. READ MORE.

Between 2006 and 2012, Agastya began building a network of science centers throughout Karnataka and stationing mobile labs in communities far from any central hub, in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Bihar, Meghalaya, and elsewhere.
