  • AI Readiness Program | Preparing Future-Ready Learners

Prepare learners for an AI-driven future through hands-on learning, AI literacy, responsible technology use, and practical problem-solving skills. Support 300 students by contributing ₹5L Overview AI should not become another opportunity gap. Every student deserves the chance to understand AI, use it responsibly, and apply it for learning, creativity, productivity, and future readiness. Agastya’s AI Readiness Program brings structured, hands-on, and ethical AI learning to students who may otherwise be left behind in the AI revolution. Your support can help a student take the first confident step into an AI-enabled future. Support AI readiness. Support responsible technology access. Support future-ready learners. Artificial Intelligence is rapidly changing how young people learn, communicate, create, work, and solve problems. But many students from rural, Tier 2, Tier 3, government, aided, and low-resource institutions still have limited access to guided AI learning. Many may hear about AI or use AI tools informally, but without proper guidance, they may not know how to use them safely, ethically, and effectively. Agastya’s AI Readiness Program is designed to bridge this gap. It helps students understand AI basics, explore practical tools, learn effective prompting, identify risks, and apply AI meaningfully in learning, productivity, communication, and career preparation. Why AI Readiness Matters AI is no longer limited to technology professionals. It is becoming part of education, research, office work, design, communication, entrepreneurship, and everyday decision-making. Students who understand and use AI responsibly will be better prepared for higher education, employment, freelancing, creative work, entrepreneurship, and lifelong learning. Without structured exposure, students may face: 1. Limited understanding of AI concepts and applications 2. Low confidence in using AI tools for learning and productivity 3. Risk of unsafe or unethical use, including plagiarism, misinformation, privacy issues, and overdependence 4. Lower preparedness for future education and career opportunities The AI Readiness Program addresses these challenges through hands-on, guided, and responsible AI learning. Program Structure The program is a 20-hour in-person learning experience with two major components. AI Fundamentals: 8 Hours Students build conceptual clarity on AI and its real-world applications. They learn what AI is, where it is used, how AI tools respond, and why responsible use is essential. Key focus areas include: 1. Introduction to AI concepts 2. AI applications in daily life, education, and work 3. Responsible AI use 4. Bias, privacy, misinformation, and plagiarism 5. Critical thinking while using AI-generated responses AI Tools and Applied Practice: 12 Hours Students gain hands-on experience using AI tools for learning, productivity, communication, creativity, and career readiness. They learn to write prompts, use AI for explanation and feedback, organize information, create outputs, and build a portfolio or capstone project. Advanced Bootcamp: 6-Day Extension Selected students can participate in an advanced bootcamp to deepen their skills in prompting, research, analysis, content creation, automation, and portfolio development. This helps high-potential learners move from basic exposure to advanced application. Tool Stack covered Students are introduced to practical AI and digital tools for learning, research, productivity, communication, and career readiness. Core AI Assistants Tools: ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Microsoft Copilot Used for prompting, ideation, explanation, feedback, and concept clarity. Learning & Research Tools: Perplexity, Google Gemini, NotebookLM Used for guided research, summarization, source comparison, and study notes. Productivity & Organization Tools: Notion, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Microsoft Office Used for planning, note-taking, documentation, spreadsheets, and portfolio building. Communication & Career Readiness Tools: Canva, Gamma, PowerPoint Used for presentations, resumes, posters, pitch decks, and project showcases. What Students Will Be Able to Do By the end of the program, students will be able to: 1. Explain core AI concepts and common applications 2. Write clear and effective prompts 3. Use AI tools for learning, productivity, communication, and creativity 4. Identify risks such as plagiarism, misinformation, bias, privacy concerns, and unsafe use 5. Apply AI responsibly in academic and career-related tasks 6. Create and present an AI readiness portfolio or capstone project Long-Term Impact The AI Readiness Program helps underserved learners move from digital exposure to digital confidence. It prepares them to become responsible, capable, and future-ready users of AI. They sit, they copy, they memorize. For students from low-income rural families, where a textbook may be the only book in the house, this is often all that school has ever offered. Agastya International Foundation believes that is not enough. For over two decades, Agastya has brought science to life for underserved children through hands-on experimentation, peer discovery, and the simple but radical act of letting a child build something and figure out why it works. This study examined what that experience does to a student on the inside. Researchers followed 195 Grade 9 students from government schools in Andhra Pradesh through Agastya's campus programs and measured six outcomes: interest, engagement, understanding, confidence, concentration, and cognitive ease. The findings show that activity-based learning meaningfully improves how students experience learning, and does so equitably, regardless of gender, family background, or prior academic performance. The research also offers a clear design principle: variety and quality of sessions matter more than frequency. Agastya's model works. Sustaining that impact requires continued investment in how instructors are trained and how programs are designed. Read More Effect of Agastya International Foundation's Bio-Diverse Environment on Physiological, Psychological, Cognitive and Social Attributes of Students For students from rural government schools, the natural world rarely enters the classroom. A tree is a diagram. An ecosystem is something to memorise. Agastya International Foundation’s 172-acre Creativity Campus in Kuppam, Andhra Pradesh, exists to change that — a living, breathing learning environment of medicinal herb gardens, open-air ecology labs, and forests teeming with rare birds and insects, visited by over 500 students every day. This study asked what that experience actually does to a child — not what they know after, but what they feel, how they think, and how they connect with others. Surveying 190 students across four schools and three states, researchers found that Agastya’s bio-diverse campus significantly improved physiological well being, emotional state, cognitive functioning, and social behaviour. Students felt less stressed, more curious, more cooperative, and more motivated to protect the environment. Read More Data & Insights Hub Daily Session Assessment Analysis - 2023-24 This report presents insights from Agastya’s Daily Session Assessments. It demonstrates score improvements and changes in the number of attempts across variables such as state, gender, subject/topic, and individual questions. It also includes a framework to evaluate question effectiveness by comparing students’ pre-session and post-session performance. Read More

  • Our Philosophy | Agastya International Foundation

The creative spirit lies at the core of Agastya’s philosophy of education. We believe all children possess an innate creativity that can be awakened through a journey of hands-on exploration, experimentation, discovery and application. OUR PHILOSOPHY Creating a culture of learning Agastya International Foundation is named for the revered Indian sage Agastya, a beacon of learning and spirituality who traveled across the Indian subcontinent espousing integration and harmony. The great sage is said to have crossed the Vindhyas from North India to Southern India, unified the two lands, created the Siddha school of herbal medicine and authored a grammar for Tamil Language (an ancient language that still flourishes). Our Inspiration Agastya Muni The Agastya learning experience The creative spirit lies at the core of Agastya’s philosophy of education. We believe all children possess an innate creativity that can be awakened through a journey of hands-on exploration, experimentation, discovery and application. Learning with Agastya is a journey that begins with piquing curiosity and excitement in the child’s mind. As she explores further, applying her mind and all five senses, she experiences the joy of creativity, discovery and comprehension. The opportunity to apply her learning and share it with her brings confidence and skill, and the urge to apply it in ways that make a difference to her community. At Agastya, the student is taught HOW to think, rather than WHAT to think; ; to apply her learning and innovate freely; and to do so with confidence andcaring for her everyday world. Agastya believes that creativity is a practice that can be cultivated. While urban, privileged communities are able to provide their students with the opportunity to explore their creativity in multiple ways, Agastya is committed to creating such opportunity for the broadest base of the Indian education system – disadvantaged rural and urban school children. In sparking curiosity , nurturing creativity and building confidence and caring in these children, we are building a generation of tinkerers, innovators and problem-solvers who we believe can change the world for the better.
